How it Works



The Dr. Weight Loss program features The Intelligent Prescriptive Nutrition (IPN) program developed by founder John Cardillo, Canadian Body Building Champion.

IPN combines 4 simple concepts as our foundation:

Macronutrients: The IPN program is comprised of a macronutrient composition of 50% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 20% fat. Using the caloric requirement determined to achieve two pounds per week of fat loss, each patient will pick their food choices for each meal.

Water Intake: Next to oxygen, water is the most important element required to sustain life. You will drink from your 64-ounce water bottle, filled with pure spring water in the morning, six times throughout the day.

Planning: Your IPN meals will be structured according to your personal tastes and lifestyle. You select your food choices from an appetizing and varied menu.

Metabolism: Your daily caloric requirements called the Basic Metabolic Rate (BMR) is based on each patient’s daily activity level and their weekly weight-loss goal. We establish a new fat-loss calorie target.
